Snow fell continuously Saturday and added up to 15" in parts of the state. Iowa State Patrol worked from the time the snow started Friday afternoon until the winds started to back off Sunday afternoon. During that time, they responded to 856 calls for help, the majority of which were helping motorists (646 of them). They responded to 210 crashes, which included 190 of them with property damage and 20 people injured.
